This song was born out of a desire to express the feelings of the average cover band musician on any given night. It was written back in Jacksonville in 2005 or 2006. I was becoming rather disillusioned by an audience that would love us sporadically. That gets annoying after a while. You never quite feel good enough. This song hopefully captures that feeling, channeled through an artist that creates music for public consumption who gets a gloriously tepid reaction from their flighty fans.
